As for today, ARCTEL occupies leading positions in Moscow and the Moscow region in prepaid card sales. ARCTEL affiliates have been successfully operating in Samara (since 2001) and in St. Petersburg (since 2005). Active work is underway to open company branches in various economically developed regions of Russia - in 2006 affiliates were opened in the cities of Krasnodar, Khabarovsk, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk; local telecom carriers were acquired in the cities of Volgograd (ZAO Volgatelecom), Kirov (OOO Promotek), and Krasnodar (OOO Yuzhny Telecom).
